“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs though checkered with failure than it is to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in that gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.”

      How is your back? Once you are healthy, you can start learning the No Fall Backwards method!

      The Footer’s Edge I need to learn the long line front method. Back feels ok but I’m sure my doc would be furious if I foot right now. 😞

    I know what you’re talking about, but CrossFit gyms don’t have them.. use resistant bands instead?

    • The Footer's Edge March 15, 2019 at 2:21 pm - Reply

      Not resistance bands. Bring in your handle, extra rops, and go over the pullup bar to some 45’s. Build slowly the amount of weight. More is not better so just get a feel of using good resistance while holding a world class position. Video or pic it for me 🙂

    Can you describe bouncy trouncey and meat hook as you keep talking about it

    • The Footer's Edge March 15, 2019 at 2:18 pm - Reply

      Bouncy Trouncy Tigger the Tiger technique is simply holding a world class position while;

      1. breathing
      2. relaxed grip
      3. soft knees that you can bounce on like a car with bad shocks 🙂

      Check out me teaching 2005 World’s Strongest Man, Phil Pfister, to barefoot. He was 6’8” and 385lbs when I taught him. About the 1:40 mark I go over forwards position and shoulder roll meat hook, powerband

    The drill for the one foots you mention are part of my program. Need to take it to the water for the first time this spring

    • The Footer's Edge March 15, 2019 at 2:10 pm - Reply

      Awesome, Greg Fossett. Practice the world’s best setup at no extra speed, then add a tiny bit of speed but not one-foot speed until you can transition back and forth to both one-foot-setups!

    Thank you Lane for sharing all your tips! I love the vision tip you gave, so true. I’ve been trying to break my head down habit for awhile now. I use to wear a neck brace when learning front to backs since my neck was already wrecked from years of show ski barefooting!
    Keep sharing your knowledge!

      Steve Krumwiede thanks for the kind words and the phone call as well. That truly means alot to me! I will try and keep adding value. Feel free to give me ideas to cover.
